Fishing vest

(Privacy 2022)

This piece was created by replacing the mesh panels of a fishing vest with discarded lace curtains. Part of the “Privacy” curtain series released in 2022, the project began after returning from Germany, when I became aware of how curtains are widely used in Japan to maintain privacy at home. Each piece is one of a kind, featuring a unique, randomly arranged pattern. Functional details such as fly patches and three-dimensional pockets have also been faithfully recreated, though as an art piece, it is not intended for actual use as fishing gear.
