Tights dress

(Along with scrap 2023)

This items is a dress crafted from patchworked stockings. By collecting deadstock stockings and utilizing every last bit of material—including the ribbed sections—this piece expresses respect for the products that serve as its raw materials, even if the production process is inefficient. Due to the nature of the fabric, tears and fraying will develop with each wear, and part of the concept is for the wearer to enjoy the entire process of how the garment ages over time. The fabric varies slightly from one patchwork section to another.
